01.04.2026 10:04

Starting the active tourism season, on April 1, the new visitor and information center with an observation tower and a multifunctional area will open its doors to visitors in LVM Nature Park in Tērvete, offering a modern and comfortable environment for both obtaining information and recreation in nature.

The visitor center will house the park’s ticket offices, ensuring convenient and fast service. In addition, in the visitor center, it will be possible to purchase various souvenirs related to nature and the surroundings of Tērvete.

The new center is particularly attractive due to the adjacent modern, 25-meter-high observation tower, built using glued laminated timber structures. The upper viewing platform of the tower is equipped with telescopes, allowing visitors to enjoy wide views of the surrounding landscape. The price of visiting the tower is 3.00 euros.

A paid parking lot (5 euros), where up to 900 cars can be parked daily, has been installed near the visitor center.

If necessary, the parking area can be easily transformed into an event venue for up to 5,000 people.

The innovations introduced will ensure a modern approach to customer service and a new recreational experience for every visitor. Soon, at the end of April, new diverse recreational opportunities will be added - a new foreign butterfly exhibition and the Tarzāns active recreation park, which has been rebuilt after the storms.

From April 1, the price of entrance tickets to the LVM Nature Park will also be changed - the price of a full and partial entrance ticket per person will be increased by 0.50 euros.

This spring, numerous large-scale events that have already become a tradition will take place in the park:

Easter celebrations at the Rūķu (Dwarf) Farm on April 5,

Valpurģu Night Mystery on April 30,

Wine hike on May 1,

22-23 May Latvian Forest Days.

The Latvian State Forest Nature Park in Tērvete is one of the most popular tourist and family-friendly places in Latvia, always offering diverse, educational, and interesting recreation for all generations. Its total area is about 1,200 hectares. In 2025, a record number of visitors visited the LVM Nature Park in Tērvete - 166.7 thousand young and old nature lovers.
